Ceramic Braces
Ceramic braces are made of composite materials that are placed on the front of your teeth and virtually disappear in your smile. They are very strong and generally do not stain. These braces use a ligature elastic to help the teeth move.
Self-Ligating Braces
Self-ligating braces are braces with brackets that do not need ligatures (the small bands that hold the wire in place). You may also hear them referred to as “speed braces”. The brackets on the teeth have a “trap door” that holds the arch wire in place.
