Caleb Norkus

Caleb Norkus, of the Carolina Railhawks, grew up playing soccer in North Carolina. He helped lead Sanderson High School to the North Carolina State Championship in 1996, then went on to play at UNC Chapel Hill from 1997 - 2000. In 2000 Caleb scored in overtime for the win, bringing UNC the ACC Tournament title.
After his stunning performance at UNC, Caleb was drafted in the fifth round of the 2001 MLS Superdraft by DC United. When Caleb did not catch on with the MLS side, he signed with the Charlotte Eagles, of the United Soccer Leagues A - League. After two season Caleb went on to play with other teams in the south, in Germany, South America, and Puerto Rico before landing back in his home state of North Carolina with the Railhawks.
