Cavitron®
The Cavitron® is a dental tool that uses high frequency ultrasonic waves to clean teeth and provide gentle periodontal care - removing tartar above and below the gum line.This state-of-the-art instrument has a blunt tip that uses oscillating sound waves to gently vibrate the tartar away from your teeth. It’s so gentle that it can even be used to administer deep cleaning and gum therapy, many times without the need for anesthetic. The Cavitron® is a safe, effective and painless alternative to traditional cleaning methods.
This is a hand-held instrument that quickly and comfortably detects small cavities. The advanced laser can detect decay earlier than more conventional methods, such as radiography. In fact, it can find 50 percent of the decay that goes undetected by radiography without exposing you to radiation. This laser is truly valuable in the prevention of dental problems and the promotion of good oral health.
ViziLite
Oral cancer is one of the most curable diseases when it’s caught early. That’s why we choose to provide oral cancer screenings with ViziLite technology. This simple, painless and fast exam can help us identify abnormal tissue that might develop into oral cancer. First, we will have you rinse your mouth with a cleansing solution, and then we’ll dim the lighting. We will examine your mouth with ViziLite, a specially designed light technology that immediately identifies any abnormal cells.
Myotronics K7
For the diagnosis of malocclusion, we use the Myotronics K7 system and a TENSing Unit. These tools allow us to gently track the position of your jaw and surrounding muscles, determining the most comfortable position for your bite.
Digital Panographic, Cephlographic and Tomographic X-rays
This state-of-the-art imaging system allows us to get higher quality images with far less radiation than standard x-rays. The pan allows us to take a digital image of your entire dentition, not a series of a few teeth at a time, so we get a clearer, more precise picture of your oral health. This system also takes cephelographic x-rays which are used in the planning of orthodontic treatment as well as tomographic x-rays that enable us to diagnose and treat TMJ and other joint disorders in and around the jaw.
Soft Tissue Laser
This fantastic soft tissue laser allows us to treat your gums quickly and painlessly. It speeds healing time and can even instantly heal any cold sores, fever blisters, or ulcers - without any discomfort whatsoever! We use lasers in our non-invasive periodontal therapy to remove scaling and kill pockets of infection and to gently sculpt excessive gum tissue for instant results with no recovery time.
Hard Tissue Laser
Our patients love it. This laser replaces the drill and can be used for a variety of applications, including removing unhealthy tooth structure, remove old fillings, repairing cavities and preparing teeth for bonding. The laser allows us to be conservative in our care, removing the smallest amount of tooth structure as possible. It also creates a highly effective bonding surface on the tooth, resulting in a stronger, more enduring restoration.
3-D Cat Scan
The 3-D Cat Scan provides improved diagnosis, accuracy and treatment results. The scan produces 3-D images that allow us to accurately diagnose and treat many dental conditions. This state-of-the-art technology produces accurate 3-D data that is especially useful in implant planning and placement.
